The new Knight Rider TV show on NBC

In short...one word: CRAP!

Let me explain...

It felt like I was watching a very bad soap opera. Like I was watching "Days of our Lives", but with worse acting. Even the voice acting for K.I.T.T. was horrendous. Not to mention the poor attempts at humor.

The story line was terrible. Right from the start, they just kind of throw you in without any back story. I know there was a made for TV movie; but there is an awful big jump from where the movie ended to where the series starts. It felt like there was too much too fast. And why the constant techno soundtrack? Did Paul Oakenfold get some sort of cut or something?

And why is the government involved in all this??? The FBI??? Is Knight Industries owned by the government now? I guess that explains using a C-130 to transport K.I.T.T..

I'll admit, I'm not a Ford fan. But that does not explain the following rant...

Why, just why do they continue to use that butt ugly box of a Mustang??? The show, like the movie, is just another long Ford commercial. Why use a retro version of the Mustang? The original car (a Firebird Trans Am) was chosen because it was futuristic and sleek. The new Ford Mustang is either futuristic or sleek. It's a fast box. I'll give them credit, at least this time K.I.T.T. didn't get shown up by a Ford Focus like in the movie! I also find it amusing that almost every other car in the show was more sleek and futuristic looking than K.I.T.T. himself! And from the previews of next week, it will be the same.

And when did K.I.T.T. become a Transformer??? I know he has the pursuit mode...but he can turn into a truck now too?!?!? WTF??? Can they make it MORE unbelievable?

NBC had a chance to update and introduce a really good show from the past into the future and build a new generation of Knight Rider fans. And I'm sure they did...unfortunately. But for those of us who actually have seen the original episodes (I have seen them all, plus the crappy movie with the Banshee); this "re-birth" is an extremely poor attempt. It is a HUGE disappointment that pays no homage to the original. Add this to yet another lame attempt to revamp an old show because Hollywood is out of new ideas. They can't even bring the old shows into the future anymore without driving them into the ground from the start.

The only ray of hope is there are Internet rumors out there that Glen A. Larson is working on an actual movie without NBC's influence. I hope to God that is true and will support that all the way! NBC dropped the ball by not collaborating with him with this pile of crap.

Well, the new knight is a televison movie served as a BACKDOOR PILOT for a potenial new knight rider series . It ignores the actions and plot changes from KNIGHT RIDER 2000.

I sure hope they do produce a new knight rider series because i loved the orginal knight rider and I believe that they could make a series in which they would be granted a chance to fix all errors from the TV movie and they might as well make it much superior and very good in comparison with the TV MOVIE. i believe the series could definetly beat the MOVIE.
I DO hope so they air their show as soon as produced and possible.

SOME changes i would like the creators to consider when making the series from the movie are [ the following]:
-a better car in accordance with the similar appearson of the orginal knight rider car- KITT
- KITT talking more friendly and being similar to the orginal kitt voice
- David Hasselolf to star as michael knight much more frequently
; I believe that the cast are in good condition and can act good; the story is good too but needs to be refixed
- i want michaul to meet KITT and/or possibly ride in with mike tracer
AND COUPLE MORE OF FIXES
if anyone thought the new tv knight rider movie wasn't good i believe that it is possible for the creators to show all their features in the series SUCH AS TURBO BOAST.
