Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick State of the City speech for Detroit

Okay, this is it. I'm as done with this jerk as much as I'm done with dumbass bush! If you don't know, the Mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick has been involved in quite a few scandals lately...well, okay...since he took office. I was so hoping that the people of Detroit would wise up and not re-elect him last time. They didn't. They bought his pile of horse crap, hook line and sinker. (yes, I know...i'm funny that way)

Now we have so many new scandals, I'm not even going to get into them here. If you want the latest news, do a Google News search. They are easy to find.

I tried to watch his speech last night. Well, okay, I flipped over a couple times to see what was going on. Nothing to special. Same song and dance. Trying to make himself seem the hero to all Detroit. All the while, the audience standing up, giving him applause. What some don't realize though is the crowd was by invitation only. Hence the reason everyone there loved him!

I did catch his last part...it was the most entertaining part! Here it is in all it's glory:

"And finally, and this may be the most talked-about part of this speech after laying out all of that, but I feel that I cannot leave this auditorium with my wife and my sons sitting there without addressing this issue.

In the past 30 days Ive been called a nigger more than anytime in my entire life. In the past three days I've received more death threats than I have in my entire administration.

I've heard these words before but I've never heard people say them about my wife and children.

I have to say this because it's very personal to me. I don't believe that a Nielsen rating is worth the life of my children or your children.

This unethical, illegal lynch mob mentality has to stop.

And it's seriously time. We've never been here before. And I don't care if they cut the TV off.

We've never been in a situation like this before. Where you can say anything, do anything, have no facts, no research, no nothing and you can launch a hate-driven bigoted assault on a family.

I humbly ask members of council, I humbly ask the business community, I humbly ask the religious community, I humbly ask the brothers and sisters of the city of Detroit - I humbly ask that we say 'no more' together.

I humbly ask that we say no more together. I love this city with every part of my being. I will continue to stay focused on building the next Detroit.

There, now that I have that out of my system. Let's review...

Who's called him and his family a n*****? (i'm not going to type that myself...even though it's above...i don't and won't use that word personally...i'm not an ignorant racist where i feel i need to use that word) I've never heard anyone call him that. I know that he's definitely not helping his "brothers and sisters", as he calls them, by acting and saying the things he says. He just feeds the stereotype constantly.

What's up with the "unethical, illegal lunch mob mentality" stuff? HE is the one that lied under oath. HE is the one that cheated on his wife. HE is the one that cost the taxpayers of Detroit over 8 MILLION dollars in his last legal battle that he WAS guilty of. HE is the one that is giving his "brother" insider information so his contracting company can win the next city bid. HE is the one that is charging non city items on his city credit card. HE is the one that has the city pay for his wifes top of the line Lincoln Navigator. HE is the one that has his henchmen..oops..sorry...security force to force people out of public places and sidewalks just because they are too close to him. ...just to name a few...

So, again...who has the "unethical, illegal lunch mob mentality"??? Us!?!? I don't think so...he really needs to look into the mirror.

I guess he is more like bush that I thought...he must not read the newspaper or watch the news on TV. Just about everyone knows that there is such a thing as data trails. Apparently he did a bunch of texting during these years. And guess what? They are still around! Just because they are deleted off of your phone does not mean they are gone. No facts, no research, no nothing...what a baboon!

And as far as saying "no more" together. Why don't the people of Detroit pull their heads out of their asses and say no more together and get him OUT! Even though I live in the Metro Detroit area, I do not have a say as to what happens in the city. Even though what happens in the city of Detroit effects me and my life, I get no say as to what goes on down there. The people of Detroit need to stand up and pressure the powers that be to REMOVE him from office. We all know that he will not go willingly. He's said it before. He needs to be forced out of office.

Michigan has great potential. Detroit has great potential. kwame is just an anchor.

I've decided something. I'm boycotting Detroit. I will no longer go to Detroit for anything until his is out of office. I will boycott all sporting events, both in person and on TV; I will boycott the restaurants; I will boycott the shows at Cobo; I will boycott the concerts. Anything and everything that has to do with Detroit will be off my radar. I'm just one man, but like Wilton Knight once said..."one man can make a difference"!
