what was once communist is O.K. now!
An official U.S. military document that was used as a guideline for how interrogators should treat detainees was in fact written as an anti-torture article during the Korean War.
Quote:
American military trainers gave a class to camp interrogators in 2002 on how to use "sleep deprivation", "exposure" and other "torture" methods to reduce captives to "animals" and obtain information.
But it has emerged that the techniques presented in the class were copied word-for-word from a 1957 US Air Force study which focused on Chinese techniques – that did not work.
I think there was some guidance currently released on "interrogations" to sum it up...before using an interrogation technique the interrogator is supposed to think about if they think the technique is o.k. to be used on an American servicemember then it's o.k. to employ on an enemy prisoner.
If these prisoners weren't involved in terrorist organizations before going to Gitmo - they damn sure will want to be when (if) they leave.
